Out of Commission....Bummer

I have been out of commission a little bit. I had to go visit the doctor for a minor procedure and he said take it easy for a few days. Needless to say, I haven't gotten out much to paint. So I decided to post a painting I did earlier this year.

This was painted in late May near Council, ID. It was one of those days where I really couldn't find anything interesting until I passed over Mesa Hill and boom I saw a lot of wildflowers and the snow covered peaks. After further investigation the natural composition of the scrub brush, wildflowers, and pine trees leading your eye up to the snowy peak was what really excited me so I painted it.

I plan on painting this one in a 30 x 40 format except it probably won't be done for a couple of years. I'm really backed up on a lot of my studies going to final paintings. Anyway, thought you all might enjoy. Happy Labor Day everyone!
