Fall!

After having been on the sidelines for the last few weeks it was nice to get outdoors and do some sketches. We are finally starting to get some color in the higher elevations. For this painting, I headed to central Idaho to the town of Ketchum. It's about a 2.5 hour drive from where I live and it's well worth the drive.

This painting is from Trail Creek just outside of the town. The world famous Sun Valley resort is about a mile down the road from here. It wasn't peak color but it was good enough. It was just a beautiful day in a beautiful area. Everything was perfect except for when I nearly nailed a 3 point buck with my truck on the way home.....Yikes!
